YOUNGSTOWN -- The Pig Iron Press is issuing a call for manuscripts for a creative book about the Mahoning River, past and present. They will accept articles, personal essays, stories and poems that relate memories, descriptions or reflections of the river's history and impact on the Mahoning Valley. There are no professional requirements for those wishing to submit.
To submit, send your entry with a self addressed stamped envelope to Pig Iron Press, P.O. Box 237, Youngstown, OH 44501. Entries may also be delivered to 26 North Phelps Street in downtown Youngstown. The deadline for entry is June 30, 2001.
