Negley home destroyed
NEGLEY -- A malfunctioning electric hot water heater is the likely cause of a fire that left seven people homeless Friday night, said volunteer Fire Chief Jerry Hoon. The blaze broke out after 10 p.m. and destroyed the house, just north of Negley on state Route 170, owned by Doug and Brenda Bryshaw. Hoon estimated the value of the house, actually a mobile home with several additions, at $30,000 to $35,000.
