MATILDA V. GRANCHAY, 78

YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Kirila Funeral Home, Struthers, and at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Struthers, for Matilda V. Granchay, 78, of Park Vista Retirement Community, 1216 Fifth Ave., formerly of Struthers, who died Friday evening of pneumonia at the retirement center.
Miss Granchay, who was known as Millie, was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Czechoslovakia, a daughter of John and Veronica Hurtuk Grancay, coming here from Czechoslovakia in 1929. She was a cashier at the A & amp;P grocery store for many years and retired in 1973.
She was a member of the church, First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Branch 156 and United Food Workers Local 880.
She leaves a brother, Joseph Granchay of Kismet, Fla.
Two sisters, Anna Granchay and Mary Donchatz, and five brothers, Emil, John, Carl, Michael and Julius Granchay, are deceased.
Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home.
