JOSEPH A. COBBIN, 78
YOUNGSTOWN -- Services were Tuesday in Fairwood Community United Methodist Church, Renton, Wash., for Joseph A. Cobbin, 78, of 17360 160th St., Renton, formerly of Youngstown, who died March 25 in Group Health Hospital of Redman, Wash.
Mr. Cobbin was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Montgomery, Ala., a son of William Sr. and Malenda Mahone Cobbin, and spent his younger years in Youngstown. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Youngstown, transferred to Los Angeles, and then to Seattle.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the church, where he served on various boards and committees. He was also an avid bowler, playing in tournaments all over the United States.
He leaves his wife, Marjorie, whom he married in 1962; a son, Tracy Sr. of Seattle; a daughter, Tina Marie Cobbin of Seattle; and five grandchildren.
Five brothers, John, Ecklon, Frank, Adam and William Jr., and three sisters, Georgia Beavers, Callie Beaver and Selena Cobbin, are deceased.
Local arrangements were by Black & amp; Phillips Funeral Home.
