JOHN W. RACEY, 90

RICHMOND -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Baumgardner Funeral Home, Andover, for John W. Racey, 90, of 3472 state Route 7, who died Friday at home.
Mr. Racey was born Nov. 2, 1910, in Richmond, a son of William J. and Myrtie Gibbs Racey, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a potato farmer for 43 years for Shellito's farm, currently the Boleratz farm, and was a member of Richmond United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed gardening and bird-watching.
His wife, the former Lola I. Falkenburg, whom he married Sept. 19, 1936, died Jan. 13, 2001.
He leaves a son, Charles W. of Conneaut; a daughter, Norma J. Thompson of Linesville, Pa.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
