YOUNGSTOWN -- A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at John Flynn Funeral Home, Hermitage, Pa., for Helen T. Gaugh, 90, of Park Vista Retirement Community, who died Thursday at the retirement center.
Mrs. Gaugh was born July 6, 1910, in Woodlawn, Pa., a daughter of Jasper and Mae Boal Tate. She lived at Park Vista for the past year and previously lived in Ridge Manor, Fla., for 20 years.
She was a sales clerk in the yard goods department of J.C. Penney in Sharon for 10 years before retiring in 1970. She was a graduate of West Middlesex High School, a member of Hermitage Methodist Church, Ridge Manor United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 156 in Farrell, and enjoyed sewing and needle crafts.
Her husband, Seth A., whom she married July 14, 1930, died Nov. 4, 1983.
She leaves two sons, Dr. Wilbur S. of Webster, N.Y., and Richard A. of Skidaway Island, Ga.; a daughter, Mary Lou Reesey of Youngstown; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A brother, Wendell R. Tate, is deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before the services. Arrangements are by Selby-Cole Funeral Home, Vienna. Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
