HARRY T. COUTS, 83
BROOKFIELD -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Brookfield United Methodist Church for Harry T. Couts, 83, of 7377 Warren-Sharon Road, who died Friday morning at home after a long illness.
Mr. Couts was born Aug. 11, 1917, in Warren, a son of Andrew and Cora Boring Couts.
He was a transformer tester for Westinghouse Electric in Sharon for 19 years and retired in 1980. He graduated from Brookfield High School in 1935, and was a World War II and Korean War Army veteran.
He was a member of the church, American Legion, Men's and Mixed Retired Couples Bowling League at Sunset Lanes in Farrell, and Meals on Wheels in Sharon.
Besides his wife, the former Susan Novelli, whom he married Aug. 4, 1944, he leaves two daughters, Patricia McCully of Poland and Nancy Couts-Martinelli of Duxbury, Mass.; three sisters, Forest Doud, Ruth Reinhart and Mary Jean Baxter, all of Brookfield; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Two brothers, Thomas and Cloid, are deceased.
