GENEVA LOUISE BAXTER, 86
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at R. Cunningham Funeral Home for Geneva Louise Baxter, 86, of Haven Nursing Home, formerly of Lawrence Manor, who died Friday evening in Jameson Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Baxter was born March 28, 1915, in New Castle, a daughter of Harvey and Louella Bortz Gerlach.
She was a homemaker and attended First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking and music.
Her husband, Paul E., whom she married Dec. 25, 1933, died Nov. 14, 1985.
She leaves five daughters, Darlene L. Kent, Marilyn E. Heath, Virginia L. Murphy and Noreen D. Abraham, all of New Castle, and Carol L. Sanchez of Nampa, Idaho; a son, Raymond P. of Nampa; a brother, L. Burdette Gerlach of Mercer; a sister, Harvetta R. Black of Nanty Glo, Pa.; 26 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Verla Kelley and Pauline McAnallen; three brothers, Irwin, Alton and Albert Gerlach; and two grandsons are deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
