The theft of a handgun during a house burglary is the focus of Mercer County Crime Solvers this week:
Crime: Burglary and theft.Location: 1100 block of George Street, Sharon.Details: Police said someone entered a home in the 1100 block of George Street between Feb. 13 and March 30 and stole a Jennings .22-caliber semi-automatic handgun. The gun has a silver finish and black handgrips. A holster for the gun also was stolen.Contact: Call Crime Solvers between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at (724) 347-HELP. Callers do not have to give their names.Reward: Crime Solvers, a nonprofit organization, offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for a serious crime in Mercer County.
