BENJAMIN BROWN, 77
LORDSTOWN -- Services will be at noon Monday in Grace A.M.E. Church for Benjamin Brown, 77, of 1150 Salts Spring Road, Apt. 55, who died of a heart attack Tuesday morning in St. Joseph Health Center.
Mr. Brown was born Feb. 22, 1924, Jackson, Tenn., a son of Anthony Jr. and Lillie M. Matlock Brown, and lived in the area for 73 years.
He worked for Sheldon Gantt Inc., and retired March 1, 1991 as automotive foreman.
His wife, the former Richard Dean Johnson, whom he married Feb. 26, 1955, died June 6, 2000.
He was a member of Union Local 935 and enjoyed playing cards and softball, and cooking. He was a decorated World War II Army veteran.
He leaves three brothers, Felix Brown, David Henderson and Robert Lee Davis Sr., all of Warren; and three sisters, Mary Ann Johnson, Caferan Brown and Bobby Jean Tucker, all of Warren.
His stepfather, Mr. Davis; three brothers, Louis Brown, and Willie and Irvin Davis; and four sisters, Eva Williams, Evelyn Jackson, Mabel Bryant and Marquerite Bufford, are deceased.
Friends may call one hour before the service in the church. Arrangements are by Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home, Warren.
