JOSEPH V. ROMEO, 73



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at noon Saturday at Clemente Funeral Home, and at 12:30 p.m. in St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers, for Joseph V. Romeo, 73, of 3516 DeSoto Ave., who died early Thursday at his home.
Mr. Romeo was born July 25, 1927, in Hillsville, Pa., a son of Rocco and Jennie Feo Romeo, coming to this area in 1956. He was a clerk for Republic Steel Corp., and retired in 1986, and was also employed by Pepsi Bottling Co. in its advertising department for 20 years.
He was a member of the church, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his mother of Youngstown, he leaves his wife, the former Emma B. Nelson, whom he married Aug. 25, 1951; two sons, Joseph V. Jr. of Lowellville and David A. of Beaver Township, Ohio; three brothers, Richard of Bessemer, Pa., Rocco Jr. of Hillsville and David N. of Youngstown; and seven grandchildren.
A brother, Anthony, is deceased.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. by the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 135.
