HUBBARD -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Grace Lutheran Church here for Jeanne L. Johnson Lynn, 78, of Shepherd of the Valley, Niles, formerly of Hubbard, who died of emphysema Wednesday morning in St. Joseph Health Center, Warren.
Mrs. Johnson was born June 29, 1922, in Pennsylvania, a daughter of George and Olga Hasselberg Muse. She came to Youngstown in 1950 and moved to Hubbard in 1952.
She worked as a registered nurse in Pittsburgh and at Forum Health Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.
She was a 1943 graduate of the Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing and was an Army nurse during World War II, achieving the rank of first lieutenant.
She was a member of the church, Hubbard Lyric Club, and VFW 3767 Ladies' Auxiliary.
Her first husband, Charles H., whom she married Aug. 28, 1947, died Dec. 28, 1977. Her second husband, Nevin E. Lynn, whom she married April 9, 1947, died Nov. 6, 1988.
She leaves two sons, Glenn H. Johnson of Poland and Charles A. Johnson of Olmsted Falls; a daughter, Diane M. Vargo of Hubbard; two stepdaughters, Janis Filipcich of Youngstown and Gayle Goist of Girard; a sister, Betty Hardwick of Sinton, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home and one hour before services Saturday in the church.
Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund or the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
