PHILIP J. MYERS, 72
YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Dominic Church for Philip J. Myers, 72, of 2842 DeCamp Road, who died Tuesday afternoon at home.
Mr. Myers was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Lowellville, a son of Paul and Mary Sietz Myers.
A 1948 graduate of Lowellville High School, he was a carpenter and then purchasing director for Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority before retiring in 1991. He then owned PJ Creative Frames in Youngstown.
He was a member of the church and the American Legion, and was a lieutenant commander in the Naval Sea Cadet Corps. He served in the Navy as a Seabee during the Korean War and in the Naval Reserve.
His wife, the former Concetta Ianneralli, whom he married Feb. 5, 1955, died Aug. 3, 1997.
He leaves three daughters, Cynthia A. Siva of Casselberry, Fla., Anna M. Byrdy of Austintown and Phyllis L. Seidler of Liberty; a brother, John E. of Providence, R.I.; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the church, 77 E. Lucius Ave., Youngstown 44507.
