LILLIAN EILEEN HOTCHKISS, 77 Taught math, history at Howland High
NILES -- A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Gahanna Community Congregational Church, Gahanna, Ohio, for Lillian Eileen Hotchkiss, 77, of Westerville, Ohio, formerly of Niles, who died Tuesday in Ohio State University Hospital East in Columbus.
Mrs. Hotchkiss was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Niles, a daughter of Thomas and Margaret Jones Newey.
She graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1941 and Baldwin Wallace College in 1944, and taught mathematics and history for 24 years at Howland High School.
She was a member of the church, Ida McKinley Chapter Order of Eastern Star in Niles, Bronwyn Welsh Club of Niles and Phi Mu sorority, and was past president of Columbus Women's Club.
She leaves her husband, the Rev. Joe V. Hotchkiss, to whom she was married for 48 years; and a sister, Leah Schisler.
Friends may call from noon until the start of services Saturday in the church.
Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund. Arrangements are by Schoedinger Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, Gahanna.
