COZETT BRYANT, 74



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Black & amp; Phillips Funeral Home for Cozett Bryant, 74, of 1510 Oak Lane, who died March 25 in Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Mr. Bryant, also known as "Pumpkin," was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Highland Home, Ala., a son of Walker and Rosie Thomas Bryant, and moved to the area in 1951. He had worked at U.S. Steel Corp. and retired March 6, 1983.
He was a Baptist and a member of the Steel Valley Sportsman Club.
His wife, the former Jurriel Merchant, whom he married in June 1956, died March 17, 1983.
He leaves three sons, Wayne Bryant and Jason Harmon, both of Youngstown, and Cozett Bryant Jr. in Ohio; three brothers, Karo Bryant of Birmingham, Ala., Charles Bryant of Montgomery, Ala., and Ralph Stoddard of Cleveland; two sisters, Mamie Lee Sumlin of Highland Home and Bernice Nickles of Dayton; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, three sisters, three stepbrothers, two stepsisters and a great-grandson are deceased.
Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home.
