THERMAN E. HOOVER, 82
RAVENNA --Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Messiah Lutheran Church, Newton Falls, for Therman E. Hoover, 82, of 10691 Niles Ave., Paris Township, who died early at the home of his daughter in Warren Township.
Mr. Hoover was born May 14, 1918, in Buckhannon, W.Va., a son of Emery and Anna M. Cutwright Hoover, and lived in this area since 1969, coming from Ravenna. He retired as a crane operator for Republic Steel Corp., after 25 years, and had also worked security for Burns Security for 10 years.
He was a member of the church.
His first wife, the former Dorothy Whitlock, whom he married in 1936, died in 1973. His wife, the former Millie Carpenter, died in 1984.
He leaves a daughter, Carol Ranc of Warren Township; two stepdaughters, Peggy Burr of Leavittstown and Patty Neatrour of Champion; two sisters, Mable Ritter of Leavittsburg and Tilly Yauger of Uniontown, Pa.; a brother, Virgil Hoover of Leavittsburg; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchidren; and his companion, Mary Waris of Paris Township.
A daughter, Sheila M. Pearce, a sister, Wilma, and two brothers, Wetzel and Columbus Hoover, are deceased.
Friends may call one hour before services in the church.
