WARREN -- Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Metropolitan Community Church of Pittsburgh, at Friends Meeting House, 4836 Ellsworth Ave., Pittsburgh, for Kirk Patrick Francis, 30, of 1915 Southern Blvd., Warren, formerly of Pittsburgh, who died of complications of AIDS on Saturday at home.
Mr. Francis was born Nov. 24. 1970, in Ellwood City, a son of Clifford E. and Lua Ann Shuster Francis.
He attended Riverside High School in Ellwood City, where he played football and performed in dramatic stage plays. For 11 years, he was a bartender in Pittsburgh. He had been named "Bartender of the Year."
He was a member of the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force, the Shepherd Wellness Community in Pittsburgh and the Ursuline Sisters AIDS Ministry in Canfield. He also was a member of the church.
Besides his adoptive family, Jim and Jean Price of Enon Valley, he leaves a brother, Daniel C. Francis of Topeka, Kan.; and his companion, Jack E. McIntyre of Warren.
His parents are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at H. Samson Inc., 537 Neville St., Pittsburgh.
