ROLAND O. HALL, 82
LEETONIA -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eells-Leggett Funeral Home for Roland O. Hall, 82, of 37635 state Route 344, who died Monday morning at home after a long illness.
Mr. Hall, known as "Red," was born Dec. 2, 1918, in Franklin Square, Ohio, a son of William and Della Mottinger Hall. He was a lifelong area resident.
He served in the Army during World War II, was a machinist for the NRM Co., had worked for Barclay, Coy's and the Guide Co., and also drove school bus for Leetonia Schools for more than 30 years.
He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Auxiliary, the Hi-Neighbor CB Club and played softball at Kelly's Park.
He leaves his wife, the former Lavina Zimmerman, whom he married March 14, 1940; two sons, Roland and Michael Hall, both of Leetonia; two daughters, Sandra Bell of Lisbon and Marjorie Cross of Salem; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Three sisters, Helen Barnard, Mary Shane and Emma McGowan; and two brothers, Eugene and Fred Hall, are deceased.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
