JUD CARLOCK, 80



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services were March 29 at Cranstons of Wickford Funeral Home, North Kingstown, R.I., for Jud Carlock, 80, of 11 Dupont Circle, North Kingstown, formerly of Youngstown, who died March 26 in Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence, R.I.
Mr. Carlock was born Aug. 18, 1920, in Knoxville, Tenn., a son of Harry and Nugie A. Morrison Carlock.
He was a career Navy veteran of 27 years and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in 1967. He served during both World War II and the Korean War and was a member of The Fleet Reserve 42. He also worked for Brown and Sharpe Manufacturing in North Kingstown and was a 1978 graduate of Johnson & amp; Wales University in Providence.
His wife, the former Setsuko Yamashita, whom he married Jan. 29, 1959, died Feb. 1, 1975.
He leaves a daughter, Akemi Finck of North Kingstown; a sister, Margaret Beverly, and a brother, Leon, both of Youngstown; and two grandchildren.
Three brothers, Harry, Edward and Eugene, and a sister, Martha Carlock, are deceased.
