Second man faces charges in Sharon woman's rape
SHARON, Pa. -- Police have arrested a second man in the July 12 rape of a Spearman Avenue woman in her apartment.
Henry Lee Jones, 33, of Pipestone Street, Benton Harbor, Mich., was extradited from Michigan to Mercer County on Friday and charged with criminal conspiracy, burglary, aggravated assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.
He was arraigned before District Justice James McMahon on Friday afternoon and lodged in Mercer County Jail on $500,000 bond.
Police said Jones and Randy Norris, 19, of Stambaugh Avenue, broke into the 21-year-old victim's apartment, choked her until she was unconscious and then sexually assaulted her.
Norris was arrested shortly after the attack on charges of rape, burglary, burglary, aggravated sexual assault, criminal conspiracy and criminal trespass.
He pleaded guilty in the case and is serving a state prison sentence, police said.
Jones was in jail in Michigan on a separate matter, delaying his arrest on the Sharon charges, police said.
