GEORGE PIPENUR, 84 Was a Trumbull County deputy sheriff
IWARREN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home for George Pipenur, 84, of 9775 E. Market St., who died Saturday in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Pipenur was born Feb. 2, 1917, in Cleveland, a son of John and Mary Radu Pipenur, and lived in this area most of his life.
He was a Trumbull County deputy sheriff for 30 years, retiring as chief deputy. He was also a Warren Municipal Court bailiff. He served in the Army during World War II as a member of the 82nd Airborne Glider Infantry.
His wife, Edythe, whom he married in 1961, died in 1971.
He leaves a son, Edwin Gozzard of O'Brien, Fla.; a daughter, Janet Troyer of Richmond, Ky.; a brother, William, and a sister, Mary Opritza, both of Warren; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, John and Arthur, are deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
