WILLIAM R. PATTERSON, 80



NILES -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Fairview United Methodist Church for William R. Patterson, 80, of 2116 Robbins Ave., who died Friday in Liberty Health Care Nursing Home.
Mr. Patterson was born Dec. 26, 1920, in Sagamore, Pa., a son of William H. and Mary J. Higes Patterson, and lived in the Trumbull County area since 1950. He was a self-employed public accountant, retiring in 1988, and was a 1951 graduate of Youngstown College.
A member of the church, he was also a member of Western Star Masonic Lodge in Youngstown, and was a founding member and active in the promotion of local riding associations. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Africa and Europe.
His first wife, the former Mary H. Newcombe died March 29, 1987.
Besides his wife, the former Mary N. Czoka, whom he married May 12, 1989, he leaves a daughter, Victoria L. Pirko of Southington; two sons, Derek J. of Atlanta, Ga. and David W. of South Africa; two stepdaughters, Barbara Beach and Helen Christy, both of Boardman; a brother, James H. of Hubbard; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hall Funeral Home, and from noon until time of services in the church on Tuesday.
