WALTER R. THURMAN, 90

WARREN -- Services will be at noon Tuesday at Peter Rossi & amp; Son Memorial Chapel for Walter R. Thurman, 90, of 200 Pleasant Park, Warren Township, who died Saturday in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Thurman was born May 7, 1910, in Erie, a son of Robert and Mary Perko Thurman, coming to Warren in 1915.
He retired in 1972 as a melter for Republic Steel Corp. in its electric furnace department, where he worked 40 years.
Besides his wife, the former Helen Johnson, whom he married Dec. 26, 1934, he leaves a son, Gerald T. of Cortland; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A son, Robert L.; a brother, Raymond; a sister, Eleanor Morris; and a grandson, are deceased.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home on Tuesday.
