Ulster Project plans Amish dinner and concert on April 7



Proceeds from the event will help youths from Ireland participate in this year's project.
BOARDMAN -- The Mahoning Valley Ulster Project will sponsor its second annual Amish dinner and Cahal Dunne concert April 7 at St. Charles Church hall.
An Amish dinner of chicken, beef, vegetables, stuffing, bread, salad, puddings, desserts and beverages will be served at two seatings, 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Dinner tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children under 12 and may be combined with a concert ticket for $20. Concert-only tickets are available for $10. Tickets may be obtained at House of Erin, Irish Bob's or from any project committee member.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be preceded at 7 by an exhibition of Irish stepdancing.
Raffle: A special raffle is planned for this year. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Prizes featured will include quilts, an afghan, Irish mugs, a Belleek Irish vase, framed pictures of Amish winter scenes, Amish-made table runner and pot holders, tickets for the Amish dinner and concert for 2002, tickets to the Youngstown Playhouse, tickets to the Oakland Center, a restaurant gift certificate and tickets to the November concert by the Schaffer Brothers.
Funds raised will be used for airfare for youths from Belfast, Northern Ireland, to participate in the July 2001 Peace program.
The Ulster Project has been bringing Catholic and Protestant youth to the community for 14 years and is seeking host homes for boys and girls with an American teen-ager, 14-16. For information contact Lori Neill at (330) 782-7065.
