LEO D. BOBOVNYIK, 79



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Kinnick Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church for Leo D. Bobovnyik, 79, of 4508 Sheridan Road, who died early Saturday at his home.
Mr. Bobovnyik was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Katherine Kuzma Bobovnyik, and was a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of Chaney High School, he worked for 35 years at G.F. Business Systems, retiring as a press operator in 1984.
He was a member of the church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife, the former Evelyn L. Moore, whom he married June 20, 1946, he leaves two daughters, Sheryl Boda of Austintown and Patricia Bobnik of Charleston, W.Va.; a son, Richard Bobnik of Detroit; a brother, David Bobovnyik of Youngstown; two sisters, Josephine Cianciola of Canfield and Margaret DelBane of Hubbard; and five grandchildren.
Three brothers, Stephen, Sylvester and Robert Bobovnyik, and a sister, Rosemary Bobovnyik, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the rosary will be recited at 4:45 p.m.
