ITALIAN LANGUAGE CONTEST How pupils fared



Results from the 25th Italian Language Contest arranged by the Greater Youngstown Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Italian and conducted Saturday in DeBartolo Hall at Youngstown State University. Sponsors were the Youngstown Italian Heritage Foundation and Italian Scholarship League. About 175 high school and elementary school pupils from Boardman, Canfield, Howland and Ursuline participated, and elementary pupils from Holy Redeemer School from Ellwood City, Pa., recited poems.
ITALIAN LEVEL 1 STUDENTS
1st place: Julie Neiman, Boardman; Ben Haake, Meagan McAllister and Ryan Wonnacott, Howland.
2nd place: Jenna Diorio, Dustin Gardner, Sarah Shanken and Rachel Zuzga, Boardman; Michelle Aulizia, Howland.
3rd place: Katie Leone, Boardman; Jenna Brucoli, Howland; Alyssa DeMaria and Nicole LaRocca, Ursuline.
ITALIAN LEVEL 2 STUDENTS
1st place: Joanna Bosnjak, Valerie Lazzara, Boardman; Karen Fluharty, Danielle Sapino, Howland.
2nd place: Jenna Clayton, Danielle Divito, Adriana Gugliotti, Audrey Martinko, Boardman; Sevasti Hadzigedrge, Howland; Mia Schindell, Ursuline.
3rd place: Jessi Clayton, Gianni Dinello, Boardman; David Rihel, Adam Sams, Sanja Sinanovic, Sara Teringo, Howland.
