Oakland Center for the Arts: Ann Frank Exhibit from April 30 to May 25.Ohio State University Extension (4-H Youth Development): Various community events.

Volunteer help also is needed for these agencies:Arms Family Museum of Local History: Mahoning Valley Historical Society needs a person to work with the curator of education to develop additional museum programs and present other programs. The society also needs a research volunteer to assist the archivist Saturdays, help research and answer mailed inquiries and help locate files, photographs and other documents for use by researchers.Associated Neighborhood Centers: Bus assistant needed to help the van driver with clients who used walkers and canes. The volunteer must be physically able to help move some people on and off vans and other center vehicles.Easter Seals Adult Day Services: People needed to increase functional abilities of program participants and to take the participants to various activity areas.Family Services Guardianship Program: Volunteer will be assigned to one client to visit with that client, transport the client to doctor's appointments, handle shopping duties and report back to the client's guardian.Forum Health: Volunteers needed at the gift shop and gift cart evenings and weekends, the information desk in the evenings and the registration desk Friday mornings at Northside Medical Center, Beeghly Medical Park, Beeghly Oaks, the former Southside Medical Center and in Forum Health facilities in Salem and Austintown.Goodwill Industries: People needed for amblyopia (eye problem) screening. Training provided. The volunteer will choose the day(s) of scheduled screenings.Help Hotline: People needed for telephone crisis intervention, information and referral, suicide prevention and after-hour agency screenings for a four-county area. A six-month commitment is expected. Training provided Mondays from 4 to 6 p.m. and at 9:30 p.m. from April 30 to June 4. Another training session will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 9.Marian Living Center: People needed to call bingo, play bridge, paint nails, assist in the gift shop and with parties for senior citizens.Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic: A greeter is needed for four hours in the mornings or evenings any weekday to prepare paperwork for intake and admission. This person must be pleasant, assertive and able to deal with a variety of personalities.Volunteer Service to Seniors: Volunteers needed for telephone reassurance, home visits and transportation for the elderly and those with disabilities.
