Cooksey 50th jubilee is celebrated at family dinner at Avalon Inn
CANFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cooksey, 8-C Hunters Woods Blvd., were honored at a dinner party March 17 at the Avalon Inn and Resort in Howland on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Arrangements for the event were made by their family, Arthur Jr. and Sue Cooksey of Randolph, Greg Cooksey of Youngstown, and Neil and Allyson Cooksey of Charlotte, N.C. Also participating were their six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The former Margery Allen and Mr. Cooksey were united in marriage March 21, 1951, at Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Cooksey retired in 1992 from her position as an associate professor at Walsh University in Canton.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Cooksey was president/owner of Culligan Water Conditioning prior to retiring in 1991. He is a member and past president of Youngstown Kiwanis Club, a member and past president of Potential Development, and a member and past master of Youngstown 615 F. & amp;A.M. Lodge
