Anniversary is celebrated by Slovaskys

GIRARD -- A 50th wedding anniversary dinner honoring Mr. and Mrs. John Slovasky, 97 Lincoln Ave., has been postponed until August and will be held at the Avalon Inn and Resort in Howland when the entire family can be present.
Invitations for the event will be extended by their children, Stephen Slovasky of Hartford, Conn.; Eleanor Rosselli of Poland; and Maribeth Lovelace of Poulsbo, Wash. The couple have three grandchildren.
The former Theresa Ezzo and Mr. Slovasky were married April 7, 1951, at St. Rose Church where they are members.
Mrs. Slovasky was an office manager with Liberty Realty in Youngstown prior to retiring.
Mr. Slovasky served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired in 1980 from U.S. Steel, McDonald Works, where he was an office clerk. After retiring he worked for several years as a wallpaper hanger.
