Long Description:

The Youngstown Symphony will perform a Stained Glass Concert under the music direction of Randall Craig Fleischer at Congregation Rodef Sholom, 1119 Elm St., Youngstown, at 2 p.m. Nov. 5.  This year’s concerts will include a new piece composed and arranged by Mr. Fleischer entitled, “Coming to Youngstown,” featuring vocalist Tania Grubbs and inspired by the 10 stained glass windows at St. John’s. Each circular window shows scenes of men in various phases of steelmaking and attached to each is a text from the Book of Psalms.
Grubbs is a graduate of Dana School of Music and is active in the Pittsburgh music scene. She is a four-time recipient of the Heinz Foundation Ready for Life Grant working with young children through music and movement. Also joining the St. John’s Stained Glass Concert will be church organist Richard Konzan.
All are welcome, no admission, and dress casually.
