Long Description:

The Trumbull County Historical Society will host historian Clayton Ruminski as part of their Sunday Speaker Series on August 6th at 2pm.  Ruminski is the author of "Iron Valley: The Transformation of the Iron Industry in Ohio’s Mahoning Valley, 1802-1913."

Ruminski, who is from Hubbard, Ohio, is currently the Archival Specialist at Hagley Museum and Library, and is traveling from Delaware to deliver a talk on the history of the Mahoning Valley’s iron industry.  A graduate of YSU and a well-known voice in our local industrial heritage, Ruminski will set the stage for how the Mahoning Valley developed into one of the country’s largest industrial and manufacturing centers.

Copies of Iron Valley will be for sale to be signed following the presentation.  This is a free program, family friendly, and requires no reservations.  Light refreshments will be served.

The John Stark Edwards House and Trumbull County Museum are open to the public for free tours every Thursday-Saturday 1pm-4pm.  For more information please call us at (330) 394-4653 or email director@trumbullcountyhistory.org.
