Long Description: In this youth workshop for children ages 8 and up, scholar Hank Fincken will show slides of some of Thomas Edison's most famous inventions, demonstrate how some of them worked, and then discuss the role of failure in Edison's success. Fincken will then invite students to dream: what new inventions might help people in the future? Participants will then discuss how these dreams might someday become a reality. Registration is not required. This youth workshop is not a living history performance and is presented by the scholar out of character.
