Long Description: Lowellville will host its 121st Mt. Carmel Festival, opening nightly at 6 p.m. from July 13 through July 16. A Baby Doll Dance will take place in the evenings from July 13 to 15. The dance signifies the erasure of bad fortune and prosperity for the coming year. The Mt. Carmel Band will play the theme song during the dance. Nightly entertainment includes: July 13 and 14, Steve Fazzini; July 15, Amanda Jones Band; July 16, The Locals. Mt. Carmel Band will perform traditional Italian music each night before the doll dance at the main bandstand. A bocce tournament will take place throughout the festival and conclude July 16. There will also be an Italian Morra tournament on July 15, Mt. Carmel wine available for purchase, a basket auction from the Mt. Carmel Ladies Club, and many Italian food vendors and other ethnic foods. Orr Donatelli Day is set for July 14, and special needs children and adults are invited to enjoy rides, games and a lunch from the Mt. Carmel Ladies Club. Holy Feast Day is July 16 with a parade starting at the festival grounds at 9:30 a.m. traveling to Our Lady of The Holy Rosary Church, where a High Mass will begin at 10.
