Long Description: The 6th Ward Citizens’ Coalition will host a Crime and Safety Summit to tackle crime problems in the ward from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at St. Andrewes A.M.E. Church, 521 W. Earle Ave. The coalition will welcome representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Department of Justice, Youngstown Police Department, the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department, members of Youngstown City Council, Community Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV), the Youngstown Law Director’s office, various local ministers, block watch leaders and community organizers to discuss the crime issues in the city and possible solutions. The summit is sponsored by a Wean Foundation Neighborhood Success and Leadership Grant.
