Long Description: The Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild will host its 14th annual 2016 Extravaganza on April 30 at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St. The event will include a fashion and creative show that will highlight the sewing talents of guild members. There will also be displays of accessories, quilts and wall hangings. The chapter will mark its 25th anniversary in September. To mark the occasion, a sewing and designing challenge required participants to create an item made from a pattern at least 25 years old; contest entries will be displayed at the event. Challenge prizes will be awarded and items will be modeled in the style show. A lunch will be served. Cost is $23 for members and $25 for nonmembers, and reservations are required by April 15.
