Long Description: The Holborn Herb Growers Guild will host its 2015 Garden Tea Party from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Western Reserve Village in the Canfield Fairgrounds (enter at Gate 5). The event will include a sampling of herbal teas and a selection of savory and sweet foods. Guests are urged to tour the Western Reserve Village buildings and take note of the many herbs, plants and flowers cared for by the guild members. Guild members will also provide herbal demonstrations. There will be music presented by Rachell Joy. Adults and children are encouraged to dress in their best Victorian Tea hat for a garden hat contest and children should take a favorite teddy bear or doll for a Teddy Bear/Doll Parade. Souvenir tea cups and saucers will be gifted to each visitor. The Holborn Herb Growers Guild cookbook Herbal Fare will be for sale. Tickets are $10 per person and children 8 years of age and under enter for free. Ticket sales are limited. For ticket information and purchasing, call 330-550-1580 or 330-533-2926. The Holborn Herb Growers Guild began in 1982 with the aim of educating members and the public in the use and enjoyment of herbs. The guild has established public herb gardens at the Western Reserve Village at the Canfield Fairgrounds and the Pioneer Village at Boardman Park, as well as provided educational programs, events and a cookbook publication.
