Long Description: The Autism Society of Ohio, Mahoning Valley (ASO-MV) office, the regional chapter of the Autism Society of America, will host the 3rd Annual Mike Hull Memorial Ride for Autism on Aug. 22. Mike Hull was a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather of a granddaughter on the autism spectrum that he cherished. He was also a musician who loved playing and donated his time and talent to organizations in need. Hull’s generosity did not stop when his earthly life ended in 2012, but continued by becoming an organ donor where his generous gift helped hundreds. The annual poker run is way for Hull to continue to help those in need. The poker run schedule includes: Registration 11 a.m. at the Dash Inn, 2716 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; blessing of the bikes, 1:45; run begins at noon at Dashand proceeds to Sail In (Lake Milton), Power House Cafe (Salem), STYX (Austintown), New Brick House (Youngstown), and ends at Strikers at Mahoning Valley Lanes. A new offering this year is all day bowling for non-riders at Mahoning Valley Lanes, and it will be free for children and adults with special needs. Music by DJ Crazy. There will be a basket raffle and 50-50. Pizza and beverages are available for purchase. Last bike in will be 5 p.m. Performance by Stormy Weather Band at 5:30. A pasta dinner will be held at the cost of $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Costs for the poker run is $10 per rider, or $15 per rider with an event T-shirt. Both include a food ticket, music and fun! Preregistration packet pick-up will be 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 21 at Strikers. All proceeds will support the programming of the Autism Society of Ohio.
