Long Description: PEDAL THE LAKES Presented by Mercer County Trails Association, Inc. Saturday October 1st, 2011 PROCEEDS: Benefit Mercer County Trails Association, Inc. which is establishing multi-use recreational trails in Mercer and neighboring counties in Western Pennsylvania. STARTS: Registration begins at 7:00am and closes at 10:00am at the Greenville Area Sports Complex (262 Porter Rd, Greenville, PA 16125 on Google maps). GENERAL: Within a ninety minute drive from Erie, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, our full-service tour in beautiful Western PA features Amish countryside, several lakes, and for most, a trip back to the Linesville Spillway, where the ducks walk on the backs of fish. Routes will be 10, 32, 65, and 100 miles with a “Scout Special” 50 mile badge tour and an “Ultra Century” 125 mile patch challenge. The 10 and 32 mile routes will have water stops only. The 50 mile stop will have a scout snack/drink surprise, and all other routes will have snacks, drinks and a hot lunch. Support vehicles patrol the course, but bikes should be in good working order. Riders are encouraged to bring tubes, patches, tools, pumps, etc. Helmets are required. Please sign the waiver on entry form below. WE RIDE RAIN OR SHINE!
