Long Description: HANOVERTON--Come step back to the 1800's with us at the annual Peddler Days Event, which will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 10-5 and Sunday, July 10th 11-4. Be a spectator of Civil War Battles both days at their new location beyond the Spread Eagle Tavern. See and hear history come alive as canons and soldiers take the field on Saturday at 2:00pm and again on Sunday at 1:30pm. Afterwards stop in camp and talk to the soliders and civilians about how life was during the War. Shop on the street for treasures from our peddlers or relax in the shade and listen to local entertainment on stage, or walk down to the park and have a delicous apple dumpling and ice cream, a fund rasier held by the local Firemen's Ladies Auxiliary. A Ladies Tea will be held at the Hanover House on Saturday at 3:00pm and Sunday at 1:30pm. Stop by and enjoy an ice cold root-beer and peanuts at the Flying Turtle Mercantile, one of our "sutler" tents. Come dance at our Civil War Ball , Saturday night from 7-10pm, a free event. Spread Eagle features a special menu for the weekend also. Shuttle service is provided though the town. The event is free and open to the public. Call 330-223-1583 for more information.
