Long Description: EAA chapter 117, Rapid Tappets and PORKS RC model clubs will host a Fly-In, Car Cruise, Picnic and Corn roast at the New Castle Municipal Airport. Admission and parking is free for this combined event featuring an airplane show, Hot Rod and Custom car cruise, DJ Music, and RC model display. The event is Aug. 23. Guests are urged to arrive at about 10 a.m., as this is when the runway will be active with arriving airplanes and show cars. Classic vehicles will be on display. Guests will be able to walk the flight line and observe bi-planes, experimental, aerobatic, vintage, ultra light, war birds and more. Flightjunkies.com will exhibit a powered paraglider and demo flight, wind permitting; no pilot license is required for the open air flyers. PORKS RC will be displaying RC models. Custom, hot rod, vintage, antique or other special interest cars are invited to participate in the cruise, there is no charge to enter. Food will be available at 11:30 with sausage sandwich, steak burgers and free corn. Helicopter rides will be offered for $30. There will be a free raffle for ages 8 and up to win an airplane flight. Winning tickets will be drawn at 3p.m.; the winner must be present as the planned flight is at 3:30 p.m. There will also be a 50-50 raffle.
