Long Description: The East Palestine Rotary Club will hold its fifth annual Community Yard Sale on Saturday, September 18, 2010, from 8:00 o'clock A.M. until 4:00 o'clock P.M. at the East Palestine City Park with a rain date of Saturday, September 25, 2010. This event is open to individuals, non-profit organizations, clubs, churches, youth and civic groups selling rummage items, collectibles, and commercial and craft vendors. You will find everything from antiques to toys to clothing to furniture to household items to crafts, all gently used and/or new. Admission and parking are free. Generous sized spaces are available for $10.00. Setup begins at 6:00 A.M. and Sellers must bring their own tables or other setup materials. Setup will begin at 6:00 o'clock A.M. and tear down begins at 4:00 o'clock P.M. All proceeds from the space rentals and the sale of food benefit the East Palestine Rotary Club which sponsors many community events which include the sponsoring students in the RYLA program, the annual Easter Egg Hunt and breakfast with the Easter Bunny, sponsoring students in the 4 Way Speech contest, Dog Days, Harry S. Laber Award, Memorial Day Parade, Friday night at the movies at the City Park, Cross Country, sponsoring students to attend World Affairs in Pittsburgh, student loans, Youth Exchange Overnighter, Youth Soccer and Youth Exchange Program. The East Palestine Rotary Club will have its food trailer at the event and will sell a variety of food including doughnuts, cookies, hot dogs, sloppy joes, coney dogs, hamburgers, nachos and cheese, chips, candy, pop, coffee, and water. There will also be a Chinese auction held by the Club and a 50/50 raffle. This event is a great way for all residents to "divest" themselves of unwanted items, sell and swap prized possessions, and make a little cash while they're at it.
