Long Description: Salem Public Library will host a visit from local author Karen Biery on Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the library’s Quaker Room at 821 E. State Street, Salem, Ohio. The after-read discussion of her newest novel, “pieces”, is open to the public and free of charge. Registration is not required. Karen Biery is an artist and writer who has spent the majority of her life in the creative realm. She began her career in retail management with small entrepreneurs, grew through one of America’s leading corporations, and ultimately created her own retail environment, Olde English Garden Company, in Salem, Ohio. She attended Kent State University for creative writing and studied watercolors under the instruction of Tom McNickle. Karen lives in northeast Ohio with her husband, Jeff when they are not at their home on Marco Island. For more information please call the library at 330-332-0042.
