Long Description: East Palestine's very own Chelsi Figley is working towards getting to the 2012 Paralympic Games in London!! Chelsi is a 27 year old athlete who was born with Spina Bifida and has no use of her legs. She is a competitive powerlifter and is being trained for the Paralympics by Brian Raneri. Let's help her reach her goals of getting there! Please come out to show your support of Chelsi on Saturday May 15th in the East Palestine Park from 1:00-5:00 p.m. There will be a concert at the gazebo featuring Reign of One -Volunteers will collect donations during the concert- *Also a Poker Game with a 50/50 Split of the prize money - Buy in is $25 Pre-Registration is encouraged, but is not necessary. Call Jaison for more details, 330-921-9488 *A Youth Bike-a-Thon for ages 2-10 (parents welcome!) Will take place on the bike path of East Palestine Park. The registration fee is $8 per child and the deadline for registration is May 1st at Midnight. To register your child or children please visit our website. We are asking the children to decorate their bikes with an Olympic theme, an overall winner will be selected to win a special prize. Each participating child will receive a small gold "medal" at the end of the event. The judging will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. at the entrance to Rainbow Dreamland, followed by the ride for one hour on the bike path and will end at 2:00 p.m. at the Gazebo where the prizes will be awarded.
