Long Description: It's A Wonderful Night is an original, intimate, holiday musical making its Ohio premier. What happens when six unlikely people find themselves trapped inside a department store because of a blizzard and have to spend Christmas Eve together? The holiday havoc becomes even more fun when a homeless stranger stumbles in from the cold with some unexpected mystery...and magic for everyone. The show will be staged at the beautiful Main Street Theater in Columbiana: Dec. 10, 11, 17, 18 & 19. The cast includes stage veteran Attila Samu as the homeless guy; Brittany Best as the dark and brooding checkout-girl, Morgana; Greg Sprouse as the romantically-driven security guard Stan; Erich Offenberg as Carl, the department store Santa; Julie Benner as the materialistic Janet, Olivia Sukosd as the uptight store manager Ellen; and Chloe Housteau as Priscilla, Janet’s very spoiled and very bratty ‘terror’ child. Samu has worked professionally in the theatre for over 20 years and currently serves as a music teacher at Salem High School, in Salem, Ohio. Brittany Best makes her stage debut at Main Street and comes to us from her hometown in Poland. Erich Offenburg, Olivia Sukosd and Greg Sprouse all hail from Columbiana with more talent than can be mustered. Sprouse is a past winner of the Main Street Theater’s annual vocal competition, and Offenburg held the 1st runner up award. Julie Benner hails from East Palestine and joins the cast fresh on the heels of her previous cabaret gig. Rounding out the cast of principals is little Chloe Housteau. Chloe has just finished her second go-round as Annie in the current production of “Annie” at The Youngstown Playhouse. In addition, the cast also includes other skilled singers including Brady Arthurs, Daniel Arthurs, Dara Arthurs, Deanna Arthurs, Tyler Cosma, Len Derico, Courtney Hephner, Hannah Hephner, Brooke Hosler, Krista Hosler, Kelly Kimpel, Jocelynne Samu, Melissa Sferra, and Tyler Stouffer. Don Arthurs, the owner of Main Street Theater, serves as a producer and sound engineer, Rob Wichert and Sean Kapp serve as audio and visual technicians, and Cindy Best is the stage manager. “It’s A Wonderful Night” is being directed by veteran Artistic Director John Miller. Miller has directed over 75 stage productions and has worked professionally in the theatre and film business for over 20 years.
