Long Description: The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley (HFMV) & Valley Home Health Care proudly present the 3rd annual “SOFTBALL GAME OF HOPE”, in conjunction with television stations 27 First News/FOX Youngstown & WYTV-MyYTV, radio stations 93.3 “The Wolf,” 1390 WNIO & News Radio 570 WKBN, UAW Local 1112 & 1714 from GM-Lordstown and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. The HFMV is an organization formed to raise money for chronically/terminally ill children of the Valley and the surrounding area. Over the past six years, the Basketball and Softball Games of Hope, which are charity events held at YSU & Eastwood Field, have donated over $30,000 to local charities. We now hope to continue the tradition on the softball diamond again. The teams will be comprised of local leaders, politicians, and community volunteers from the Valley. The day will be plenty of fun for the entire family but to ensure its continued success, we are asking for your help. The event will take place on Saturday, August 7, 2010 inside Eastwood Field (Niles, OH) with first pitch slated for 4:00 p.m. Following the charity event the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (the Indians Class A, Short Season affiliate) will play the Aberdeen IronBirds (a Baltimore Orioles affiliate) at 7:05pm. Tickets are $6 in advance @ www.hopemv.org or $7 at the door. Kids 12 and under eat free: slice of pizza, chips and a soft drink.
Cost (low): $3.00
Cost (high): $7.00
