Long Description: The Darlington Polo Club will honor the memory of one of its founders this Friday evening, July 24th at the polo field in Darlington, PA. Preliminary matches for “The Bob Watterson Memorial” will begin on Friday with four teams competing for the right to play in the finals which will be held in East Palestine on Sunday, July 26th. The tournament, hosted by the local club and organized by Watterson's family, is a favorite of area players. This year's teams include players from East Palestine, Darlington, Ligonier, Cleveland, and Buffalo. Friday night's action will feature two four-period games with the two top scoring teams advancing to Sunday's championship match. Games will begin Friday evening at 7:30 pm in Darlington and Sunday's match will begin at 1:00 pm at Powers Field in East Palestine. Admission to the games in Darlington is $5.00 for anyone over 15 years of age. The club is celebrating its seventy second consecutive year of match play in Darlington and invites area residents to enjoy an action packed evening of polo, the sport of kings, played with a blue collar attitude.
