Long Description: The Canfield High School Choral Department presents Joe Negri’s "Mass of Hope" as its annual dinner theatre performance on Sat., Jan. 24. at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The "Mass of Hope" is written and performed by Joe Negri, a well known jazz guitarist, who is best remembered for his role as "Handyman Negri" on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. The "Mass of Hope" a mass in the jazz idiom has been performed many times, all with great reaction from audiences. It was last performed in Canfield in 2003 with a great welcome and approving reviews. More than 230 Canfield students will perform with Joe Negri at the event. They are members of the CHS Concert Choir, Chamber Ensemble and One Octave Higher Ensemble. In addition, a special children’s choir composed of 30 third graders from Hilltop and CH Campbell elementary will participate. Show tickets are $10 per adult and $5 per student.
