Long Description: Keynote sessions on Oct. 25 include explorations of Woodlawn and Southern (Aliquippa) Streetcars and a history of J&L Steel Co.’s Crow and Hog Island and basic oxygen furnace. Cost for the Friday sessions is $10 and will include refreshments. Oct. 26 sessions include discussion of J&L’s blast furnaces, Aliquippa and Southern Railroad, Carbon Limestone and the Western Allegheny Railroad. Pre-registration cost for the Saturday sessions, which include lunch, is $20; at the door, the cost will be $25. Cost to attend both sessions is $30. Cole will be a presenter during the event and copies of his new book “Ghost Rails X Iron Phantoms,” a history of the J&L Steel Co. and the Aliquippa and Southern Railroad, will be available.
