History
PRISONER OF SOCIETY originally formed in 1998 by Darin Hover, vocals, Steve Taylor, lead guitar, Scott Coleman, drums and Ian Klasovsky, bass guitar. Later added was Greg Steele, rhythm guitar. The band played all over Youngstown with many popular local bands such as Kitchen Knife Conspiracy, Tilt 360, Cyrus, Ivet, Coinmonster and so on. The members different musical influences came together very quickly and a unique edgy sound was born which was very different for the times. The band recorded their very first demo in late 1999 with Steve Pinion of Warren. After a two year journey, the band decided to go their separate ways in 2000. In 2002, though Darin, Steve, Scott and new bassist Phil Hamrick formed FLOATING FACE DOWN, the band wrote very dynamic music and sounded very refreshed and had a sense of rebirth which was clearly evident in the sound of their demo they recorded in 2002. When Phil Hamrick left the band in December 2002 the band once again went their separate ways. Now after a six year absence the band is rested, re-energized and along with re vamping the old music and writing new music, they will once again be back in full force into the Youngstown music scene.
