History

K-Awake is an experimental and NuMetal influenced modern rock 5 piece rising from Youngstown, Ohio. Their music has been described as "unique and powerful," with influences such as The Mars Volta, Human Abstract, Tool, and Mastodon. Although the band has only been together for one year, they have been successful in several Battle of The Bands receiving free recording time, free merchandise, and cash prizes. They have developed a devoted following in Youngstown, as well as gained popularity in Kent, Cleveland, and surrounding areas. This success can be attributed to the groups obvious and natural individual talents, dedication, organization, and their pure love for music. In the past year, K-Awake has performed countless local shows, several private parties, and have begun branching to out of state venues.
